Fundraising Information

Information that applies only to fundraising organizations:

PAYMENT TERMS:

ORDERS PLACED AFTER OCTOBER 1st, OR FOR SHIPMENT AFTER THAT DATE ARE DUE BY DECEMBER 31st. (OF THE SAME CALENDAR YEAR) OR WITHIN 35 DAYS WHICHEVER IS LATERLATE PAYMENTS WILL BE ASSESSED  2% ($5.00 MINIMUM), CARRYING CHARGES PER MONTH OR PART THEREOF ON ALL UNPAID AND DUE BALANCES.  ANY COLLECTION, ATTORNEY OR OTHER FEES NECESSARY TO SETTLE THE ACCOUNT WILL ALSO BE ADDED TO THE ACCOUNT BALANCE.  BY PLACING AN ORDER WITH US, YOU & YOUR ORGANIZATION AGREE TO BE BOUND BY SAID TERMS AND NO OTHER NOTIFICATION WILL BE FORTHCOMING FROM UNCLE AL'S PECANS, INC.

STORAGE:

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION TO INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS ON HOW TO STORE THE PRODUCTS WHEN THEY SELL THEM.  AS A GENERAL RULE ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE KEPT AS COOL AND DRY AS POSSIBLE, AWAY FROM STRONG ODORS NOT SUBJECT TO MANY RAPID TEMPERATURE CHANGES.  RAW NUTS MAY BE FROZEN (PLACE IN ANOTHER AIRTIGHT CONTAINER - NOT THE PACKAGE THEY COME IN).  OTHER NUTS AND FRUIT MIXES NEED TO BE KEPT DRY AND COOL.  VIRTUALLY ALL COMPLAINTS OF "STALE" PRODUCT ARE CAUSED BY IMPROPER STORAGE.  NO PRODUCT WILL BE REPLACED OR REFUNDED AFTER 7 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF YOU RECEIVING YOUR ORDER (DETERMINED BY UPS TRACKING RECORDS - OR SIGNATURE WHEN PICKED UP).  OUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF PRESERVATIVES & IN MANY CASES NONE AT ALL.  BE SURE YOUR CUSTOMERS UNDERSTAND THE PROPER STORAGE PROCEDURES AND THAT THE PRODUCTS HAVE LIMITED SHELF LIFE.

SOME ITEMS CANNOT BE SHIPPED DUE TO TEMPERATURES HERE, ENROUTE, OR AT THE RECEIVING LOCATION.  UNCLE AL'S PECANS, INC. WILL MONITOR THE TEMPERATURES AND DECIDE.  MOST ORDERS ARE SHIPPED PRE-PAID UPS THE SAME DAY WE RECEIVE THE ORDER - (MON-FRI).  AN ORDER MAY BE DELAYED BECAUSE INCOMPLETE INFORMATION WAS FURNISHED AND WE WERE UNABLE TO CONTACT THE ORDERING PARTY IN A TIMELY FASHION - A DAYTIME TELEPHONE NUMBER IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR US TO PROCESS YOUR ORDER QUICKLY.

WE RECOMMEND THAT ORGANIZATIONS USE THE BROCHURE AND TAKE ADVANCE ORDERS FOR THE VARIOUS ITEMS.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF UNSOLD PRODUCT!

ORDERS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY BY FAX OR BY MAIL - NO TELEPHONE, WEB OR E-MAIL ORDERS ACCEPTED.

INVOICING / BILLING:

THE INVOICE / BILL FOR EACH ORDER IS INCLUDED IN ONE OF THE BOXES OF THE SHIPMENT - USUALLY MARKED WITH A STICKER STATING "INVOICE IN THIS BOX".  NO OTHER BILL WILL BE SENT.  IT IS UP TO YOUR ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE THESE COPIES TO THE PERSON  IN CHARGE OF PAYMENT. 

ORDERING/QUANTITIES:

YOU MAY ORDER ANY NUMBER OF PACKAGES OF ANY ITEM YOU WISH.  HOWEVER YOU MUST ORDER AT LEAST 30 PACKAGES EACH TIME YOU ORDER - ALL TO THE SAME ADDRESS, BILLED THE SAME, ALL ON THE SAME INVOICE & NOT SEPERATED INTO SMALLER ORDERS BY US - IN ORDER FOR YOU TO RECEIVE THE DELIVERED PRICE.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ORDER IN MULTIPLES OF 30 (i.e. 30, 60, 90 ....).  YOU MAY ORDER ANY COMBINATION OF PACKAGES YOU WISH, BUT IF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PACKAGES FOR EACH ORDER IS LESS THAN 30 YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE DELIVERED PRICE PLUS SHIPPING CHARGESONCE WE RECEIVE AN ORDER IT CANNOT BE ADDED TO.  YOU MUST PLACE A SEPERATE ORDER SUBJECT TO THE SAME MINIMUMS AS ABOVE. 

PICK UP ORDERS:

ORGANIZATIONS MAY PICK UP ANY NUMBER OF PACKAGES AT UNCLE AL'S PECANS, INC. IN TERRE HAUTE.   PICK UPS MAY BE MADE MONDAY THRU FRIDAY FROM 8:15 a.m. UNTIL 3:45 p.m. C.S.T.  AND ALSO ON SOME SELECTED SATURDAYS -> DATES AND TIMES DETERMINED BY UNCLE AL'S PECANS, INC.  YOU MUST HAVE PLACED YOUR PICK UP ORDER BY 2:00 p.m. AT LEAST 3 BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE (MON-FRI) IN ORDER TO HAVE IT READY FOR PICK UP.  NO WALK-IN PICK UP ORDERS ACCEPTED,  YOU MAY DROP YOUR ORDER OFF IN PERSON BUT BE PREPARED TO COME BACK AT A LATER TIME TO PICK IT UP!

SALES TAX ITEMS:

WE CHARGE INDIANA SALES TAX (CURRENTLY 7%) ON ORDERS - FROM INDIANA CUSTOMERS ONLY - WHO ARE NOT TAX EXEMPT AND DO NOT HAVE A ST-105 (INDIANA STATE SALES TAX EXEMPTION FORM) ON FILE.  THE ITEMS THAT ARE TAXABLE ARE MARKED WITH A TX AFTER THE DELIVERED PRICE.

MOST ORGANIZATIONS USE OUR "SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE" FOUND ON THE PRICE LIST AS THEIR SELLING PRICE.  HOWEVER YOU MUST DETERMINE YOUR OWN PRICE LEVEL FOR EACH ITEM YOU SELL.  YOUR GROUP PAYS THE "DELIVERED PRICE" FOR EACH ITEM.  THERE IS A BLANK SPACE ON THE BROCHURE NEXT TO EACH PICTURE FOR YOU TO WRITE IN YOUR SELLING PRICE.
